Education
Graduated from the Surikov Academy of Fine Art in Moscow. He mainly works in oils and watercolors but also worked as a book illustrator and in ceramics. Embracing various mediums Iskander Ulumbekov participates in different art projects and performances, which bring together music, staging, paintings, decorations and poetry

Exhibitions
He has exhibited as a participant of more than 40 exhibitions. One of them, "Enduring Ties & Wider Horizons", was presented at the State Tretyakov Gallery and was supported by the Delegation of the European Commission. Iskanders' works have been published in the catalogue of the exhibition. He had a few solo exhibitions in Russia, France, Belgium and USA. His works are held in private collections throughout Russia and abroad.
